We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Joseph Brant Hospital. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the hospital's supply chain operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Purchasing and Procurement: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the hospital's needs, including negotiating contracts with suppliers and managing inventory levels.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring that goods and services are received on time and in good condition.
- Inventory Management: Manage the hospital's inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained at optimal levels and that expired or obsolete items are disposed of properly.
- Contract Management: Develop and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring that terms and conditions are met and that the hospital receives the best possible value for its money.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of procurement staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.
