About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team at Balaji Foods Ltd. as a Kitchen Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken.
    • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by our dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained.
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that all staff are aware of our high standards.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we are always aware of our stock levels.
    • Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that our kitchen is always clean and tidy.
    • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring that all events are well-planned and executed.
    • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Client focus: provide excellent customer service and ensure that all customers are satisfied with their dining experience.
    • Excellent oral communication: communicate effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
    • Flexibility: be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Initiative: take the initiative to improve processes and procedures, ensuring that our kitchen is always running smoothly.
    • Organized: maintain accurate records and inventory, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-organized.
    • Reliability: be reliable and dependable, ensuring that our kitchen is always staffed and ready to serve.
    • Team player: work collaboratively with staff to achieve our goals and objectives.
    Requirements
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
    • Permanent employment.
    • English language proficiency.
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
