About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our food service operations run efficiently and effectively.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality food and service to our customers.

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help them develop their skills and knowledge.

Estimate and Manage Resources

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to deliver high-quality food and service to our customers.

Recruit and Hire Staff

Hire food service staff, ensuring that we have the right people in place to deliver high-quality food and service to our customers.

Ensure Quality and Safety Standards

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our staff and customers.

Manage Budgets and Reports

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and prepare and submit reports to management, ensuring that we are operating efficiently and effectively.

Address Customer Concerns

Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring that we maintain a positive reputation in the community.

Maintain Records and Reports

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely information to management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in food service operations, with experience in supervising and leading a team. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.

You will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to develop and implement effective operational procedures and manage budgets and resources. You will also be a strong leader, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
