We are looking for experienced Project Managers who excel in overseeing intricate projects across various sectors including Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Aviation, Transportation, Education, and Justice. You will be part of our dynamic team in one of our Western Canadian offices.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Project/Practice Management:
    • Oversee large-scale and intricate projects to ensure client satisfaction, quality outcomes, adherence to timelines, and budgetary goals.
    • Collaborate with our Project Team and Partners to develop and implement project execution strategies, including work plans, resource allocation, and risk management.
    • Manage daily operational aspects of projects and their scope.
    • Assume responsibility (in collaboration with the assigned principal) for maintaining technical and design excellence.
    • Ensure that project documentation, including contracts and service requests, are approved and maintained according to company standards.
  • Project Accounting:
    • Regularly update project financials (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) using proprietary tools.
    • Oversee project budgets and schedules, including tracking and reporting of team hours and expenses.
    • Analyze revenue recognition and assess billing rates and utilization targets for project teams.
    • Ensure timely invoicing and monitor the collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Communications:
    • Facilitate regular meetings with the team and clients.
    • Keep the project team informed of updates and changes.
    • Deliver clear, engaging presentations both verbally and in writing.
    • Address and escalate issues promptly.
    • Communicate sensitive information effectively.
  • Leadership:
    • Mentor and motivate project team members.
    • Align project tasks with team members' skills and career aspirations.
    • Identify areas for improvement and propose constructive changes.
    • Stay informed about emerging industry practices.
    • Support and enforce company policies and procedures.
    • Actively participate in safety programs and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Teamwork:
    • Utilize each team member's strengths to their fullest potential.
    • Encourage collaboration and efficiency within the team.
    • Address and resolve team conflicts and communication issues.
    • Acknowledge and appreciate team contributions consistently.
    • Document lessons learned and share insights with team members and clients.

  • Technical Understanding:
    • Possess a solid understanding of core and shell as well as interior design and construction.
    • Be knowledgeable about the capabilities of the company.

  • Client Management:
    • Manage daily interactions with clients, assessing and managing their expectations.
    • Seek opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and build lasting relationships.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and deliver value-added services.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's business and objectives.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify opportunities for business development and additional services across all company disciplines.
    • Participate in proposal efforts, including project scoping and pricing.
