Your Role

In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with the Experiential Learning and Career Development team to devise a comprehensive strategy for the academic year aimed at empowering current and aspiring student entrepreneurs. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the visibility of entrepreneurship within our university community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct workshops covering various aspects of entrepreneurship.
  • Organize and facilitate guest speaker events.
  • Engage with local incubators and business development organizations.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of pitch competitions.
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching to students.
  • Foster networking opportunities among students and industry professionals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of business ownership experience and a passion for supporting students from diverse academic backgrounds, including fine arts, business, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. You should be enthusiastic about the transformative power of entrepreneurship and enjoy helping individuals articulate and realize their visions.

Commitment and Compensation

This role requires a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of both the Entrepreneurial Advisor and the students. Compensation for this contract position is set at $5,000 per term.
