**Department Manager - Starbucks Lower Sackville Superstore #351**
**Department Manager Starbucks (permanent full time career opportunity) - This Management position is located at the Lower Sackville Superstore #351**
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Starbucks location located inside the Lower Sackville Superstore #351.
As part of our Management Team, you will be a mentor and leader, developing your team through succession planning initiatives, supporting Starbucks initiatives, aligned with Loblaws Care, Ownership, Respect, and Excellence (CORE) Values.
Part of your responsibility as a Starbucks Department Manager may include weekly rotational responsibilities/ participation as part of our Manager on Duty rotation.
**No Previous Starbucks, Retail, Food Service or Management Experience?**
**What You’ll Do**:
- To direct and supervise all Starbucks barista’s staff to secure efficient in stock position and provide outstanding customer service
- Ensure productivity within all areas of Starbucks is efficient, exceeding our customers expectations with every Starbucks order the team creates
- To respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous professional customer relations at all times
- To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ goals and budgets are met
- To hire all part-time staff and train new employees to become outstanding Starbucks Baristas.
- To support and schedule all colleagues ensuring compliance with our scheduling practices and the control of wage costs
- To interpret and administer Starbucks Standards including Loblaw Company policy and ensure compliance with the Employee Guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining the condition of all Starbucks counters, production areas and merchandising stations.
- To ensure the safety and sanitation and overall conditions of the Starbucks sales floor, customer seating area, and back shop area.
**What You’ll Need**:
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service first environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Accept responsibility for department metrics, leadership and colleague engagement.
- Three to five years’ experience in Starbucks, the food service/ retail service industry considered beneficial
- Prior management experience considered beneficial
- Grade 12 Diploma (GED or equivalent)
