**Department Manager (permanent full time) - Presidents Choice Express (PCX) Department Manager.**

**No Previous Retail, Food Service or Management Experience?**
- In this role, you will be responsible for the fulfillment and satisfaction of all customers online orders within the PCX program.

As part of our Management Team, you will be a mentor and leader, developing your team through succession planning initiatives, supporting our Care, Ownership, Respect, and Excellence (CORE) Values. Part of your responsibility as a Department Manager will include weekly rotational responsibilities/ participation as part of our Manager on Duty rotation.

**What You’ll Do**:

- To direct and supervise all PCX staff to secure efficient fulfillment of customers online orders based on our in stock position and courteous customer service
- Ensure productivity within all areas of PCX is efficient, achieving expectations within the department.
- To respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times
- To maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales’ directives, goals and budgets are met
- To hire all part-time staff and train new employees
- To support and schedule all colleagues ensuring compliance with our scheduling practices and the strict control of wage costs
- To interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the Employee Guidelines
- Responsible for maintaining the condition of the department, assembling area of orders and to ensure the service/assembly areas and offices (5’s standards)
- To ensure the safety and sanitation and overall conditions of the department, assembly area are organized and to Company standards.

**What You’ll Need**:

- Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, (a periodic night shift if needed), and weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced very busy environment
- Accept responsibility for department metrics, leadership and colleague engagement.
- Three to five years’ experience in the retail food sales environment considered beneficial
- ’A passion for shopping an filling customers orders’ to exceed their expectations,
- Prior management experience considered beneficial
- Grade 12 Diploma (GED or equivalent)
