Fleet Operations Manager

This is a key leadership role that oversees the management of a company's fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing plans to deliver cost-effective, reliable, and efficient transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Fleet Plans: Create and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Fleet Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and driver management.
  • Lead a Team: Supervise and mentor a team of fleet professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and customer service teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Monitor and Analyze Performance: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, logistics, or transportation.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation logistics, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and experience with fleet management software and systems.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Normal setting for this job is dual: indoor office and at a maintenance shop managing a team of mechanics.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work flexible schedules, ability to be on-call at various times, and personal protection equipment (PPE) required as per task.
