Position Overview
As a Social Program Officer 24R, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on the welfare of children and families. This role emphasizes a collaborative approach to ensure that every child is safe, stable, and has a clear plan for their future.

Team Dynamics
The Integrated Collaborative Permanency Teams are comprised of experienced professionals who work closely together to create meaningful change in the lives of children. The supportive environment fosters connection and reliability, allowing team members to thrive and contribute effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. **Guardianship Duties**: Overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive care plans tailored to the needs of children.
2. **Resource Management**: Collaborating with caregivers to facilitate smooth transitions into care and permanency, ensuring children's rights are upheld.
3. **Out of Care Support**: Assessing placements and maintaining a network of resources for children requiring assistance.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
1. **Preferred Credentials**:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or a related field.
  • In-service employees of the Ministry of Children and Family Development with relevant experience.
2. **Expanded Credentials**:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field or a Master's level graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Human Services field.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
Additional qualifications may include experience working with Indigenous communities and a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
