We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Age Program Leader to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for school-age children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social growth.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, providing excellent customer service and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to licensing and YMCA standards.
- Plan and lead activities, games, and events that promote socialization, teamwork, and character development.
- Monitor and report on children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for support.
- 19 years of age or older, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Responsible Adult certification, equivalent child-related training, or a willingness to obtain.
- Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Current Child Care First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
