We are currently seeking a Lab Patient Technician to support our operations. In this role, you will oversee the specimen collection process, which includes welcoming patients and preparing specimens for transit. This position is crucial in delivering quality patient care and contributes significantly to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients, gather necessary information, and clarify the specimen collection process while ensuring adherence to testing protocols.
  • Conduct phlebotomies, manage holter monitor connections, and perform ECG recordings.
  • Handle specialized test collections, including medical/legal drug screenings and paternity tests, while completing all required documentation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by addressing inquiries and following up on requests.
  • Accurately enter patient demographics and requisition details into the system.
  • Prepare specimens for transport and subsequent testing.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Proven phlebotomy skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and privacy.
