We are currently seeking a Lab Patient Technician to contribute to our mission.

Role Overview:

As a Lab Patient Technician, you will play a crucial role in the specimen collection process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming patients and gathering necessary information, while clearly explaining the specimen collection procedures.
  • Conducting phlebotomies, connecting and disconnecting Holter monitors, and performing ECG tracings.
  • Executing specialized test collections, including medical/legal drug screenings and paternity tests, while ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships by addressing inquiries and following up on requests.
  • Entering essential patient demographics and requisition information into our systems.
  • Preparing specimens for transportation and further testing.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on patient service and the ability to connect with individuals in high-pressure situations. Essential qualities include:

  • Empathy and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Graduation from an accredited Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in phlebotomy.
  • Proficient computer skills with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and privacy.
