Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the specimen collection process, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they follow necessary test protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry, ensuring timely and efficient processing of test results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
