POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Property Manager role is pivotal in overseeing and facilitating the management of commercial real estate in alignment with established agreements. This position encompasses all facets of daily operations within a diverse property portfolio, including office and mixed-use assets, while requiring minimal travel. Key responsibilities include team leadership, financial oversight, tenant and client engagement, contract management, and execution of capital projects. The Senior Property Manager addresses tenant concerns and service requests, ensuring effective preventative maintenance. Additionally, this role involves assisting in the development of the annual budget, financial reporting, capital planning, and monitoring the property’s financial performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Foster strong tenant and client relationships through professional and effective communication, ensuring that both tenant expectations and landlord standards are consistently met. Deliver exceptional tenant service by promptly addressing requests and issues, coordinating with vendors or maintenance personnel, and following up to confirm satisfactory resolutions. Ensure 24-hour emergency coverage for the property as necessary. Serve as the primary tenant liaison to ensure seamless coordination of tenant construction activities and landlord operations, fulfilling lease obligations as required. Collaborate with property teams, tenants, vendors, contractors, and senior management to address operational challenges and implement new initiatives. Manage all tenant communications effectively. Ensure compliance with Fire, Life, Health, and Safety regulations within the building operations. Share responsibility for maintaining a top-tier image of all managed assets. Assist in the ongoing maintenance and financial performance of resources. Organize tenant and stakeholder meetings as needed. Contribute to the development and execution of strategies aimed at enhancing tenant and owner relations. Lead and nurture a diverse team focused on property and operations management. Drive organizational goals by taking ownership and identifying opportunities to enhance managed assets. Oversee the inspection and audit processes for services rendered. Manage and report on non-conformances and critical incidents.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Strong financial acumen with experience in property accounting and reporting. Community college diploma or equivalent training (e.g., CPM, RPA, FMA). Over ten years of relevant experience in Commercial Real Estate Property Management. Proficient in both oral and written communication in English and French. Advanced knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Familiarity with RFP and Federal Government procurement processes is an asset.

CFM through IFMA. CPM through the Institute of Real Estate Management. FMA Designation through BOMI. RPA through BOMI.
