About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Property Manager to join our team at TOTEM Recruteur de talent. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential communities, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential communities, ensuring that all aspects of property management are handled efficiently and effectively.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance resident satisfaction, retention, and overall quality of life.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Business Development
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract new residents and increase revenue.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of on-site staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
    • Collaborate with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing objectives.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the community's budget, finances, and financial metrics, ensuring that all financial activities are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Conduct audits of residents' files to maintain compliance with company standards.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of property management experience required.
    • 2-3 years of financial experience in budgeting and maintenance.
    • Experience in a supervisory role, with skills in team leadership and development.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
    • Strong multitasking skills and adaptability.
    • Calm and composed demeanor.
    • Self-motivated, inquisitive, responsive, and results-oriented.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Yardi property management software preferred.
Language Requirements

Proficiency in English and French required. The ability to communicate effectively in both languages is essential for this role, as you will be interacting with residents, vendors, and team members who may not speak English as their primary language.
