Job Summary

The Property Operations Supervisor is a key role within InterRent REIT, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple residential properties. This position requires a strong leader who can supervise and manage the work of in-house maintenance staff and outside contractors, ensuring that properties are well-maintained and meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Property Operations Management: Supervise and manage the daily operations of multiple residential properties, ensuring compliance with all applicable building codes, acts, and regulations.
  2. Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address any issues, and perform or arrange for maintenance repairs to achieve occupancy standards.
  3. Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise the work of in-house maintenance staff and outside contractors, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  4. Communication and Reporting: Interact daily with the site's Property Manager, identify and resolve routine tenant matters, and report concerns requiring action to management.
  5. Notice Preparation and Issuance: Prepare and issue applicable notices to residents in the performance of day-to-day activities.
  6. Energy Conservation and Mechanical Operation: Perform regular inspections of buildings and systems to ensure optimum levels of mechanical operation and energy conservation.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Must have experience in general residential construction repairs.
  2. Software Knowledge: Knowledge of Yardi property management software is considered an asset.
  3. Residential Leases: Familiar with Residential Leases.
  4. Organization and Time Management: Must possess excellent organization, time management skills, and have a strong ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Technical Skills: Working ability in MS Office is a prerequisite.
Additional Requirements
  1. Vehicle and Tools: Must have own vehicle with a clean driver's abstract and tools necessary to complete all tasks.
  2. Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies during normal hours of operation, and participation in an after-hours rotational emergency response team may be required.
