POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Property Manager role is integral to the effective management of commercial real estate, ensuring adherence to established agreements. This position encompasses all facets of daily operations for a diverse property portfolio, including office and mixed-use assets, across a broad geographic area (minimal travel is required). Responsibilities include leadership of the property management team, financial oversight, tenant and client engagement, contract management, and execution of capital projects. The Senior Property Manager is also responsible for addressing tenant concerns and service requests, as well as overseeing preventative maintenance initiatives. Additionally, this role assists in the formulation of the annual budget, financial reporting, capital planning, and overall property performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster strong tenant and client relationships through professional and effective communication, ensuring that expectations are consistently met.
  • Deliver exceptional tenant service by promptly addressing requests and issues, coordinating with vendors or maintenance personnel, and following up to ensure satisfactory resolutions.
  • Serve as the primary tenant liaison, ensuring seamless coordination of construction activities and landlord responsibilities in accordance with lease agreements.
  • Collaborate with property teams, tenants, vendors, contractors, and senior management to address operational challenges and implement new initiatives.
  • Manage all tenant communications effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with fire, life, health, and safety regulations within the property.
  • Uphold a premier image for all managed assets through shared accountability for building presentation.
  • Assist in maintaining ongoing resources and financial performance.
  • Organize and facilitate tenant and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance tenant and owner relations.
  • Lead and cultivate a diverse team focused on property and operations management.
  • Drive organizational goals by taking ownership and identifying opportunities to enhance managed assets.
  • Oversee inspection and audit processes for services rendered.
  • Manage and report on non-conformances and critical incidents.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in property accounting and reporting.
  • Completion of a community college diploma or equivalent training (e.g., CPM, RPA, FMA).
  • Over ten years of relevant experience in Commercial Real Estate Property Management.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication in English and French.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with RFP and Federal Government procurement processes is an asset.
