Position Overview: The Automotive Validation Specialist is tasked with executing verification and validation processes for automotive systems, ensuring compliance with federally mandated standards for software performance, safety protocols, manufacturability, and overall vehicle functionality. The Validation team plays a crucial role in assessing the integrity of hardware, software, and vehicle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive master Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for Vehicle Validation.
  • Create and manage DVP&R documents, including detailed test procedures while maintaining traceability of test artifacts to specific requirements.
  • Conduct initial root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Document all test procedures meticulously and innovate new testing methods to improve coverage.
  • Ensure the functionality of test properties for validating critical functions, executing tests, and recording results at all designated I-Points across various programs.
  • Accurately log issues in the appropriate tracking systems and provide the Validation Project Chief with all DVP&R outcomes and unresolved issues.
  • Lead the formulation and execution of testing strategies, ensuring traceability from requirements to results to enhance testing capabilities across multiple vehicle platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in automotive testing or validation is required.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Vector CANalyzer and CDA is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.

This role involves on-site responsibilities with occasional travel for vehicle logistics. The specialist will ensure that vehicle function requirements are met for both internal combustion engines (ICE) and electric vehicles (EVs), verifying that modules and network management systems operate correctly and faults are identified.
