Position Overview: The Automotive Validation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that automotive systems comply with federal regulations regarding software performance, safety standards, manufacturability, and overall vehicle functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct verification and validation processes for hardware, software, and vehicle operations.
  • Develop and manage master Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for Vehicle Validation.
  • Create and oversee DVP&R documentation, ensuring traceability of test artifacts to requirements.
  • Perform initial root cause analysis and document findings effectively.
  • Enhance testing coverage by developing new test procedures as necessary.
  • Ensure proper functionality of test properties and execute tests at all I-Points across various programs.
  • Document issues clearly in the designated systems and communicate results to the Validation Project Chief.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive traceability from requirements to outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 0-3 years of experience in automotive testing or validation is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary, as driving a company vehicle is part of the role.
  • Minimal travel may be required for meetings and team-building activities.

Additional Information:

The role includes responsibilities such as ensuring that vehicle function requirements are met for signal and communication in both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EVs). The position also involves monitoring module performance and network management to identify faults.
