Job Overview

As an Automotive Validation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that automotive systems comply with regulatory standards and perform optimally. Your expertise will contribute to the verification and validation processes that uphold safety, manufacturability, and overall vehicle functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough verification and validation of automotive systems in alignment with federally mandated guidelines for software performance, safety, and vehicle functionality.
  2. Collaborate with the Validation team to assess hardware, software, and vehicle performance.
  3. Develop comprehensive Master Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for Vehicle Validation, manage DVP&R documentation, and create test procedures while ensuring traceability of test artifacts to requirements.
  4. Document and enhance test procedures, developing new tests as necessary to improve coverage.
  5. Validate test properties functionality, execute tests, and accurately record results at all I-Points across various programs.
  6. Clearly articulate issues in the designated reporting systems and provide the Validation Project Chief with DVP&R results and any outstanding issues identified.
  7. Lead the formulation and execution of testing strategies, ensuring traceability from requirements to outcomes to enhance testing capabilities across multiple vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
  2. A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in automotive testing or validation is required.
  3. Familiarity with tools such as Vector CANalyzer or CANoe, and CDA is preferred.
  4. Strong communication skills are essential.
  5. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory, as driving a company vehicle will be required.
  6. Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% for meetings and team-building events.
