About the Role

The Regional Director of Disability Services will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of programs and services that support adults living with an intellectual disability, and children with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of programs and services that support adults living with an intellectual disability, and children with disabilities and their families.
  • Provide advice and support to the Executive Director responsible for Regional Social Services.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the delivery of disability services.
  • Build relationships with community partners and external resources, including service delivery agencies, Indigenous peoples, and disability community groups and networks.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and programs related to disability services.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in social work, business, or public administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in social services, including program delivery, program oversight, evaluation, and financial management.
  • Proven ability as a leader with a commitment to creating, supporting, and sustaining a diverse environment that enables staff to achieve results and develop for the future.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Political acumen, demonstrated through experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders on complex topics and sensitive issues.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and financial management.
