Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Clerk to join our team at The Balmer Hotel. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Responsibilities
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences.
  • Manage room reservations, cancellations, and changes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of room assignments, reservations, and guest interactions.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, ensuring prompt and efficient communication.
  • Assist guests with special needs, providing personalized support and services as required.
  • Contact guests to deliver wake-up calls and other important messages.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Permanent work term, with a 40-hour workweek.
  • English language proficiency.
