About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our Italian-Canadian cuisine, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment, to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and strong leadership skills.
