Position Overview

The Food Service Supervisor at AMAZING BAKERY plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our food service department. This position requires a blend of leadership, organization, and culinary expertise to ensure our customers receive exceptional service and quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Management: Develop and implement effective work schedules to optimize staff productivity.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and coordinate the activities of team members responsible for food preparation and portioning.
  • Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job responsibilities, hygiene practices, and safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Assess and estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food and service offerings meet established quality control standards.
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports regarding operations.
  • Tray Assembly Oversight: Supervise the assembly of food trays to ensure accuracy and presentation.
  • Delivery Coordination: Oversee the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely service.
Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The position requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the expectation of standing for extended periods. Physical demands include bending, crouching, and kneeling, requiring a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
