Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Indian Hut. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Inventory Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules
    • Establish work schedules
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Support for Youths
    • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
