Opportunity Overview

The Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis.

This role encompasses the comprehensive financial forecasting, strategic planning, and budgeting processes, alongside conducting operational plan variance analyses, investor return assessments, quarterly valuations, and internal monthly reporting dashboards.

Collaboration with the Asset Management and Reporting teams will be a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance monthly reporting packages utilizing Excel and PowerBI Dashboards, providing insightful analysis and commentary on key performance indicators (KPIs) to elucidate budget variances and market trends.
  • Drive continuous automation through advanced Excel formulas and streamline workflow processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Engage closely with Asset Management, Property Management, Leasing, and Reporting teams in the development of budgets and the 5-year strategic plan for various income-generating real estate funds.
  • Develop and refine financial models to project essential performance metrics, including cash flow, margin returns, operating returns, IRR, ROIC, MOIC, NPV, and more.
Qualifications

An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance is required. Candidates pursuing further education or finance/accounting designations will be considered a plus.

Essential skills include:

  • Strong Excel modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • A minimum of one to two years of experience in development, corporate, or real estate accounting, or FP&A roles is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI dashboarding is beneficial.
  • Experience with Yardi or similar asset management/ERP systems is a plus.
