About the Role
The Cook is a key member of our culinary team at Dexterra Group, responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals that exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize various cooking techniques, including deep-frying, pan-frying, broiling, baking, boiling, grilling, sautéing, and steaming, to prepare top-notch dishes.
- Manage food costs and ensure that all meals are prepared within the allocated budget.
- Maintain consistency in food delivery, adhering to strict standards of food safety and handling.
- Operate commercial and non-commercial kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, steamers, grills, broilers, and other equipment.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality or food service industry.
- Food Safety certification.
- WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional and punctual attitude.
