About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Humpty's Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for our guests.
    • Ensure that all dishes, glassware, and utensils are clean and sanitized.
    • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance
    • Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
    • Assist in the receiving, unpacking, and storing of supplies and equipment.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve our goals and objectives.
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment an asset.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
