About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Parvati Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as required.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of activity and pressure.
  • Overtime Required: Be available to work overtime as required to meet the needs of the kitchen.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods and be able to move quickly and efficiently around the kitchen.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Personal Qualities and Experience
  • Team Player: Be a team player and work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to Multitask: Be able to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of the kitchen.
  • Experience: Have at least 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment, with a strong understanding of kitchen procedures and protocols.
