About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Humpty's Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages
    • Ensure that all dishes, glassware, and utensils are clean and sanitized
    • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment
  • Housekeeping and Sanitation
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area
    • Sanitize all surfaces, equipment, and utensils
    • Dispose of trash and recyclables
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive and store supplies and ingredients
    • Monitor inventory levels and report to management
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment an asset
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
