Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Planning and Development Manager to join our team at Tradevest GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing our planning and development activities to support our company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for land use and development projects
- Lead and manage a team of planners and developers to achieve project goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, developers, and community groups, to ensure successful project outcomes
- Manage and coordinate the development process, including administration of land use bylaws, issuance of development permits, and enforcement of development regulations
- Provide expert advice and guidance on land use planning and development matters to senior management and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimal project outcomes
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in land use planning, geography, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in planning and development, including at least 3 years in a local government setting and 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Considerable breadth and depth of knowledge of municipal government act, provincial planning and development regulations, and related statutes
- Expertise in land development, project management, and land use planning
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to senior decision-making bodies
- Good knowledge of computer systems, including financial, capital project, and land information systems
