Job Summary

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the Portfolio and Reporting Branch, this individual will work closely with various areas across the EPS to demonstrate the impact of their work on moving forward the Strategic Plan.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, operations, performance measurement, analytics, and reporting. They will be responsible for providing direct support and expert counsel to EPS for performance management, including the measurement, analysis, and reporting of results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to assess strategic and business outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Design and collect key performance metrics to assess strategic outcomes and initiatives across various EPS project portfolios.
  • Coordinate with various business units to collect and collate key performance metrics, initiatives, and project updates.
  • Conduct research and environmental scanning of other police agencies and related industries to assess performance measurement related best practices.
  • Develop and steward project portfolio processes to gather, analyze, and organize information to assess and adjust strategic direction.

Requirements

  • University degree in a business administration, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum four years of progressive professional experience in strategic planning, operations, performance measurement, analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience developing and implementing performance measurement frameworks, developing KPIs, and linking measures and outcomes to strategic or business goals.

Working Conditions

40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of variable hours of work program.

Salary Range

$46.08 - $58.23 (Hourly), $3,686.90 - $4,658.60 (Bi-Weekly), $96,227 - $121,588 (Annually).
