Job Title: Methods Analyst II

About the Role:

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a highly skilled Methods Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of strategic plans, performance measurement frameworks, and project portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to assess strategic outcomes and initiatives across various EPS project portfolios.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, conversations, and meetings to create common objectives and move projects forward.
  • Conduct research and environmental scanning of other police agencies and related industries to assess performance measurement best practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Support the development of a KPI dashboard based on EPS project portfolio performance and health measurements.
  • Collaborate with various business units across the organization to collect and collate key performance metrics, initiatives, and project updates.
  • Develop and steward project portfolios, policies, and agreements to achieve business objectives.
  • Use project management methodologies to identify, manage, and mitigate strategic risks to project portfolios, strategies, and the organization.
  • Support the completion of Briefing Notes and ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analysis in emerging topics.

Requirements:

  • University Degree (master's preferred) in a Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum four (4) years of progressive professional experience in strategic planning, operations, performance measurement, analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience developing and implementing performance measurement frameworks, developing KPIs, and linking measures and outcomes to strategic or business goals.
  • Excellent written, communication, presentation skills, and experience in facilitating discussions and leading workshops.
  • Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including experience with data analysis & visualization, and Pivot Tables in Microsoft Excel.
