Job Title: Strategic Planning Manager

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our public health policy team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance on the development and implementation of public health policies and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on the development and implementation of public health policies and legislation.
  • Coordinate the alignment of simultaneous development and implementation of legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Advise on the alignment of recommendations from engagement activities with external partners and Ministry goals.
  • Participate in Secretariat support for advisory panels or committees appointed by the Minister or Division.
Requirements:
  • Related university degree and at minimum 4 years of related experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Legislative and policy maintenance experience.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience.
Assets:
  • Familiarity with food safety.
  • Familiarity with the Public Health Act.
