Supervisor - Nutrition Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition and Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Nutrition and Food Services department, you will be responsible for the front-line supervision of employees, day-to-day operations, meal service and delivery, and ensuring safe and efficient operations of assigned work areas.
The successful candidate will act as an ambassador and liaison within the integrated model of Nutrition and Food Services, providing leadership and support to employees in the area and remote sites. As part of the management team, you will assist in carrying out administrative and operational functions within designated area(s) and in accordance with our strategic plan.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nutrition and food service management, with a minimum of two years' experience in a health care setting and unionized environment. You will have a proven track record of leadership abilities, staff management, and coaching in a unionized environment, as well as excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practice, and organizational health, and will be able to prioritize, organize, and manage time in a fast-paced environment. Travel to other sites or throughout the province may be required, and a valid Nova Scotia driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary.
