The Business Systems Analyst position is crucial for conducting research and analysis that leads to the formulation of requirements and processes aimed at resolving intricate business challenges within the designated Line of Business. This role involves engaging in the testing of new systems or enhancements, training users, and providing continuous support to all global units.

The Business Systems Analyst works collaboratively with business stakeholders to gather requirements that align with enterprise objectives and industry trends, transforming them into a practical product roadmap. Close collaboration with in-house or vendor developers is essential, necessitating a foundational understanding of the technology stack and its implementation processes to facilitate informed decision-making. The incumbent will leverage their expertise in business and process analysis, engaging with end users and other stakeholder groups to ensure that feedback is integrated into the product's evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Manager/Project Manager in addressing complex, multifaceted challenges to fulfill the needs of the supported Line of Business, utilizing financial and technological insights to design methodologies, models, and systems solutions. This may involve rapid prototyping, with iterative development of requirements and solutions that yield interim deliverables until a final production solution is established.
  • Engage in the systems implementation process by creating test cases, executing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversions, providing user documentation, conducting user training, and offering post-implementation support.
  • Deliver business support to all global units, encompassing new and existing product and deal structuring, ad hoc queries, management information systems (MIS), user training, and assisting in the design and implementation of system enhancements. This role requires effective communication across different time zones and business lines, ensuring management is kept informed and that issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies, policies, risk management practices, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly evolving technology to provide effective business solutions and services to end user business lines.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, business, information sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, including market conventions and valuation methods, risk management methodologies, and models, as well as current and anticipated regulatory requirements and Back Office processes.
  • A creative, self-motivated, results-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills to assist in resolving complex business issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with end users and project team members, employing diplomacy, judgment, and persuasion to gain agreement and cooperation from involved departments.
  • A solid understanding of current electronic data processing practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, as well as real-time analytical and formal modeling tools, with experience in Agile delivery methodologies.
