Titanium Transportation Group Inc. is seeking a meticulous and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be pivotal in assessing the company's financial and operational performance by compiling and sustaining regular financial and non-financial metrics and KPIs. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering financial data, such as labor expenses and fuel expenditures, and conducting various analyses including variance and scenario assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
- Evaluate existing business and system processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Create new reports while ensuring the precision of data and analysis.
- Establish standard costs and investigate discrepancies with actual costs.
- Monitor process changes to assess their impact on overall expenses.
- Generate regular reports, encompassing KPIs, financial and non-financial outcomes, and analytical metrics.
- Utilize SQL programming or other database querying skills for effective database modeling.
- Assist business users in maximizing system utilization to enhance processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Prepare necessary documentation for systems, processes, and testing.
- Support the development and testing of internal processing controls.
- Streamline processes to enhance user experience and minimize errors.
- Collaborate with end users to ensure the successful implementation of newly operationalized processes.
- Track and report on any savings or cost avoidance achieved.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in Public Accounting.
- Completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration, Computing, or Financial Management.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or progress towards the designation.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently, adapt to change, and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Capability to manage project milestones and risks with minimal oversight.
- Experience handling confidential information with sound judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate and supply chain logistics environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with application conversion and process re-engineering.
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
