Meat Department Team Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Manager Assistant - Full Time to join our team at Longo's. As a key member of our meat department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Motivate and mentor team members to achieve exceptional results and maintain a positive work environment.
- Operational Support: Provide support to the Meat Manager in preparing the department for daily operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and merchandising.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience and building strong relationships with our loyal customers.
- Problem-Solving: Handle customer and team member issues in a professional and timely manner, upholding company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving products, to meet financial objectives and maintain high-quality standards.
- Training and Development: Coach and train team members to maintain the highest level of productivity and quality, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience in a meat department with a solid understanding of product knowledge and previous experience with cutting meat.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of raw materials, product processes, and quality control costs, as well as excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with team members and customers.
- Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and work in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and listening skills.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Availability: Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends, with occasional travel required to support off-site events.
