Meat Department Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Manager to join our team at Highland Farms. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of employees to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and engage employees to maximize performance and achieve sales targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop employees to reach their full potential and provide excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance the appeal of our meat products and maximize sales.
- Ensure quality and freshness of products by conducting regular quality control measures and adhering to company standards.
- Manage inventory levels, order products, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform physical tasks such as cutting, chopping, and mixing meats and other food products according to standardized recipes and processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards, as well as Food & Safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a meat department management role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of different cuts of meats, cooking procedures, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Walking and standing for extended periods of time.
- Able to bend, squat, and lift occasionally.
- Able to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Exposure to limited cold temperatures from freezer/cooler area.
