Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled software engineer with a robust background in agile practices to become a vital member of our dynamic development team. This dual role encompasses both software engineering and scrum master responsibilities, providing leadership while engaging directly in software development tasks.
The Opal Mapping system is centered on a real-time virtual representation of the human heart. As a physician navigates the heart using a catheter, the system constructs an accurate anatomical model of the chamber. High-performance rendering and algorithmic strategies are essential for delivering an impressive visual experience and offering immediate feedback to the physician.
Our technology stack includes C++, OpenGL, GLSL, OpenCL, Qt, and Linux.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Design, develop, and launch innovative high-performance software for medical devices.
- Provide technical guidance to the team regarding software architecture and industry-leading development practices.
- Tackle complex challenges and consistently strive for engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, systems engineering, QA, hardware, and regulatory, to comprehend requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master with prior experience in a scrum master capacity.
- Strong educational background in Computer Science, preferably a BS/MS or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of delivering successful mission-critical products.
- Expertise in C++, Linux, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Extensive experience in systems development.
- Proficient in resolving complex issues with a proactive and positive approach.
- Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant experience in architecting, designing, and implementing software for medical devices.
- Experience in developing software for embedded systems interfacing with sensors.
- Strong background in developing network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, OpenSSL) and cybersecurity.
