Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled software engineer with substantial experience in agile practices to join our dynamic development team. This dual role encompasses both software engineering and scrum master duties, providing leadership while also engaging in hands-on software development.

The Opal Mapping system revolves around a real-time virtual representation of the human heart. As a physician navigates the heart with a catheter, the system constructs an accurate anatomical model of the chamber. High-performance rendering and algorithmic techniques are crucial for delivering an impressive visual experience and providing immediate feedback to the physician.

Technologies Utilized: C++, OpenGL, GLSL, OpenCL, Qt, and Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  2. Design, develop, and release innovative high-performance software for medical devices.
  3. Provide technical guidance to the team regarding software architecture and best practices in software development.
  4. Tackle complex challenges and continuously strive for engineering excellence.
  5. Collaborate with various teams, including marketing, systems engineering, QA, hardware, and regulatory, to comprehend requirements and propose optimal solutions.

Qualifications:

  1. Certified Scrum Master with prior experience in a scrum master capacity.
  2. Strong educational background in Computer Science, preferably a BS/MS or equivalent experience.
  3. Proven track record of delivering successful mission-critical products.
  4. Expertise in C++, Linux, networking, and cybersecurity.
  5. Extensive experience in systems development.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive influence on the team.
  7. Excellent communication abilities, adaptable to various audiences.
  8. Commitment to patient safety and product quality, adhering to the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Significant experience in architecting, designing, and implementing software for medical devices.
  2. Experience in developing software for embedded systems interfacing with sensors.
  3. Strong background in developing network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, OpenSSL) and cybersecurity.
