Software Quality Assurance Engineer III

Job Summary:
Boston Scientific Gruppe is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer III to join our team in Waltham, MA. As a Software Test Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure the quality of our Electrophysiology software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Test Cases: Create and maintain comprehensive test cases to ensure the functionality and quality of our Electrophysiology software products.
- Manual and Automated Testing: Execute manual tests and automate testing using Python or other programming languages in a Linux environment.
- Test Execution and Reporting: Execute tests, document test results, and write test reports to ensure that tests have been conducted in accordance with written procedures.
- Problem Diagnosis and Bug Reporting: Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements in a bug tracking system.
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: Share knowledge and demonstrate product areas to other team members on an ad hoc basis.
- Test Methodology and Strategy: Assist in determining test methodology, test strategy, and test data setup.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software development team, hardware engineering team, field support team, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years of software test engineer or related experience or 3+ years with a master's degree or advanced degree, preferably BS/MS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Communication and Analytical Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product Quality and Testing Experience: Strong product quality and testing experience preferably in the medical device domain.
- Test Automation Experience: Working knowledge of test automation under Linux/Unix environment.
- Programming Experience: Some programming experience is desirable, such as Python, C or C++.
- Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: A natural attention to detail and a penchant for organizing and documenting.
- Adaptability and Learning Ability: A good learner who can master complex software and quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Agile Development Experience: Experience working in Agile Scrum development environment.
- Problem-Solving and Teamwork Skills: Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment, ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Follow company policy regarding ISO and FDA documentation and compliance for medical devices.
- Ultrasound Device Experience: Prior experience with Ultrasound devices preferred.
