Job Summary

Wawanesa Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Expert Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving insurance claims in a fair and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving claims in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of claims to determine liability and ensure that customers receive fair and timely settlements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters and claims examiners, to ensure that claims are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure that claims are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that claims are processed in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Fluency in French and English is required.
  • Obtaining the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and negotiate settlements.
