Job Summary
Wawanesa Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, interpreting policy texts, and determining coverage and adequate provisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Interpret policy texts, determine coverage, and ensure adequate provisions are made.
- Investigate claims to establish liability and determine the extent of damages.
- Evaluate relevant information from sources such as adjusters, third-party claims experts, contractors, and repair facilities to estimate damages.
- Coordinate services with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient resolution of claims.
- Proactively resolve claims from start to finish, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the accuracy of claim files in the claims system, adhering to company standards and policies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest legislative changes and industry trends in insurance.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in claims resolution and insurance industry.
- Fluency in English and French.
- AMF Claims Adjuster License.
- Commercial License from the AMF (an asset).
- Working towards obtaining a Professional Insurance Advisor (PIA) designation (an asset).
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to demonstrate empathy and a customer-centric approach.
- Strong analytical skills and investigative abilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong negotiation skills.
