Job Summary

Wawanesa Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, interpreting policy texts, and determining coverage and adequate provisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interpret policy texts, determine coverage, and ensure adequate provisions are made.
  • Investigate claims to establish liability and determine the extent of damages.
  • Evaluate relevant information from sources such as adjusters, third-party claims experts, contractors, and repair facilities to estimate damages.
  • Coordinate services with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient resolution of claims.
  • Proactively resolve claims from start to finish, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain the accuracy of claim files in the claims system, adhering to company standards and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest legislative changes and industry trends in insurance.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in claims resolution and insurance industry.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • AMF Claims Adjuster License.
  • Commercial License from the AMF (an asset).
  • Working towards obtaining a Professional Insurance Advisor (PIA) designation (an asset).
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to demonstrate empathy and a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong analytical skills and investigative abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
