Director of Information Security

Job Summary:
The Government of Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Security to join our team. As a key member of our Digital and Technology Solutions department, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and protecting our information technology assets from confidentiality, integrity, and availability threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive information security strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team of IT security professionals in identifying, assessing, monitoring, detecting, investigating, researching, and responding to security threats and incidents.
- Manage and operate a portfolio of IT services, including demand management, financial management, and portfolio management.
- Motivate and develop staff through constructive feedback and effective performance management.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Experience leading service planning and delivery teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management of staff.
- Experience in vendor and contract management, governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
- Experience in financial management, including business case development, cost estimation, and budget management.
- Experience designing and reporting against performance measures.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) considered an asset.
