The Government of Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Information Security to lead our efforts in protecting our information technology assets from confidentiality, integrity, and availability threats.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, manage, and be responsible for the protection of the Government of Manitoba's information technology assets.
- Identify, assess, monitor, detect, investigate, research, and respond to threats and incidents impacting the security of information technology assets.
- Operate an assigned portfolio of IT services.
- Motivate staff through constructive and positive feedback and effective performance management.
- Develop business cases for new services or for discontinuing existing services in response to changing business requirements.
- Demand Management, Financial Management, and Portfolio Management of a portfolio of IT Services.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Relevant certification in Cyber Security may also be accepted.
- Experience leading service planning and/or delivery teams.
- Experience in vendor and contract management.
- Experience with governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong political acumen skills.
- Experience in financial management.
- Experience designing and reporting against performance measures.
- Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) considered an asset.
- CISSP and/or CISM Certification.
