Position Overview

Revel IT is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to leverage engineering principles in addressing challenges related to industrial layout and production processes. This role is pivotal in enhancing manufacturing efficiency and ensuring high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by actively involving team members in safety initiatives.
  • Utilize the Global Manufacturing System effectively to streamline operations.
  • Address production requirements and implement continuous improvement strategies, including tool design modifications.
  • Analyze daily downtime reports to support initiatives aimed at improving machine and system uptime.
  • Gain proficiency in basic control systems and operator error-proofing techniques.
  • Manage procurement of project materials through RTP Next.
  • Engage in planning meetings for weekend and shutdown work.
  • Review safety incidents and communicate relevant safety messages.
  • Complete compliance training in areas such as Hot Work, Confined Space, and Electrical Safe Work Practices.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste in quality, scrap, uptime, and energy consumption.
  • Support adherence to Global Manufacturing System standards, including Maintenance Level 4/5 Board and Workplace Organization.
  • Document near misses to enhance safety protocols.
  • Oversee the design, construction, integration, and installation of equipment and tools necessary for producing high-quality components.
Job Duties
  • Evaluate time, motion, and methods in maintenance and production to establish standard rates and enhance efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and collaborate with management to set quality and reliability benchmarks.
  • Review logs and specification sheets to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Assist in planning work assignments based on worker performance and production schedules.
  • Create visual aids such as charts and diagrams to represent workflow and machine utilization.
Required Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented team player with a creative mindset.
  • Proficient in making engineering sketches and drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports.
  • Experience with engineering software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
