Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by actively engaging with team members in safety initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Global Manufacturing System.
  • Address production requirements and continuous improvement requests, including modifications to existing tools and the design of new tools as necessary.
  • Analyze daily downtime reports from production and maintenance to support projects aimed at improving machine and system uptime.
  • Acquire knowledge of basic control systems and configurable operator error-proofing systems.
  • Utilize RTP Next for the procurement of materials required for projects.
  • Participate in planning meetings for weekend and shutdown work.
  • Review significant safety events and shift notes to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Complete compliance training in areas such as Hot Work, Confined Space, First Aid CPR, Rigging, and Electrical Safe Work Practices.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste in quality, scrap, uptime, and energy consumption.
  • Support adherence to Global Manufacturing System standards, including Maintenance Level 4/5 Board and Workplace Organization.
  • Report near misses to enhance safety protocols.
  • Oversee the design, construction, integration, and installation of equipment and tools necessary for the production of high-quality components.
Job Duties
  • Analyze time, motion, methods, and speeds in maintenance and production operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams, collaborating with management and engineering teams to set quality and reliability standards.
  • Review logs and specification sheets to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Assist in planning work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and potential delays.
  • Create charts, graphs, and diagrams to visualize workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
Required Skills
  • Strong creativity, verbal and written communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented team player.
  • Proficient in creating sketches, engineering drawings, and performing common computations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Experience with engineering-related software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience is necessary.
