Job Overview

Revel IT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to leverage engineering principles in addressing challenges related to industrial layout and production processes. This role requires proficiency in creating engineering drawings and interpreting blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by actively involving team members in safety initiatives.
  • Demonstrate effective utilization of the Global Manufacturing System.
  • Address production needs and continuous improvement requests, including modifications to existing tools and the design of new tools as necessary.
  • Analyze daily downtime reports from production and maintenance to support projects aimed at enhancing machine or system uptime.
  • Gain knowledge of basic control systems and operator error-proofing systems.
  • Utilize RTP Next for the procurement of materials required for projects.
  • Engage in planning meetings for weekend and shutdown work.
  • Review significant safety events and shift notes to ensure compliance and awareness.
  • Complete compliance training in areas such as Hot Work, Confined Space, First Aid CPR, Rigging, and Electrical Safe Work Practices.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste in quality, scrap, uptime, and energy consumption.
  • Support adherence to Global Manufacturing System standards, including Maintenance Level 4/5 Board and Workplace Organization.
  • Document near misses to promote safety awareness.
  • Oversee the design, construction, integration, and installation of equipment and tools essential for producing high-quality parts.
Specific Duties
  • Analyze time, motion, methods, and speeds in maintenance and production to establish standard production rates and enhance efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams, collaborating with management to set quality and reliability standards.
  • Review logs and specification sheets to ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
  • Assist in planning work assignments based on worker performance and production schedules.
  • Create visual aids such as charts and diagrams to illustrate workflow and machine utilization.
Required Skills
  • Strong creativity, communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented team player.
  • Proficient in creating sketches and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and reports.
  • Experience with engineering-related software, including Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience is required.
